The exterior styling and materials were very much dictated by the surrounding properties in this conservation village on the outskirts of York. The rooflines were kept deliberately low in order to disguise a home of over 4000 sq ft but careful design of the roof structure allowed the maximum amount of utilisation of the first floor for living space.
The property was completed to shell before the clients came on board. However they very quickly became part of the design team and took advantage of our flexible design philosophy. Some very small changes were made to room layouts and complete freedom of choice was made available for kitchens, bathrooms and finishes.
